Café Del Mar Phuket: A Premier Beach Club Experience
Café Del Mar Phuket has established itself as one of the top beach clubs on the island, reinforcing Phuket’s reputation as a vibrant party destination. This iconic Ibiza brand recognized Phuket as the ideal location for a beach club that offers good music, excellent drinks, and unforgettable parties.
A Prime Location on Kamala Beach
Nestled at the northern end of Kamala Beach, next to Intercontinental Phuket and Novotel Kamala, Café Del Mar Phuket maintains a low profile during the day. Due to regulations prohibiting clubs from being directly on the beach, Café Del Mar, like other modern beach clubs, is situated at the very edge of the beach, often under the shade of trees. While this setup may differ from traditional beach clubs, it preserves the beachside atmosphere while complying with local rules.
Design and Ambiance
Café Del Mar Phuket features a stylish design with wooden structures, a straw roof, and warm orange tones, creating a relaxed atmosphere perfect for an afternoon chill. However, the covered bar area can get quite warm as it doesn’t benefit from the coastal breeze. The club’s layout, with a pool behind the main building and tightly packed beach beds on the side, suggests that the available land may have been a bit limited for the club’s ambitious design.
A Busy and Lively Spot
Café Del Mar Phuket quickly fills up, especially during peak times, making it challenging to secure a sofa or prime spot. The close quarters can sometimes lead to guests unintentionally encroaching on each other’s space, which might be bothersome for those seeking a more private experience. The club is lively and bustling, with a party atmosphere where personal space can sometimes become secondary.
Food and Drinks
Café Del Mar offers a well-curated selection of music and drinks, as expected from a top beach club. Drink prices range from 130 baht for a beer to 280 baht for classic cocktails. The menu includes a variety of tapas, salads, and meats, with prices like 320 baht for cold cuts or a baguette sandwich, 390 baht for a Wagyu burger, and 790 baht for lamb chops. The club also serves a wide range of wood-fired pizzas, starting at 270 baht for a Marinara and going up to 900 baht for a Wagyu beef with truffle cream pizza, along with an extensive sushi menu. The à la carte menu is available from 4 PM to 11 PM.
Café Del Mar Phuket remains a must-visit destination for those looking to enjoy a premium beach club experience on Kamala Beach, offering a mix of great food, drinks, and a vibrant party atmosphere.
